Had such a great stay with family! Not only was the home beautiful and comfortable,it was also very well equipped. My nephew and I enjoyed what he called the 'screen saver in that lovely alcove in the living room. My grand nephew was entertained playing the NBA game as his current passion is basketball. The first time I have stayed at this home, it certainly won't be the last

The house is very clean and has such an elegant layout. It's like a different experience in every part of the house.
It's well stocked and well labeled, but it takes a but to understand the lighting. I usually travel with an air fryer but this house even had one of those! It's a cook's dream to have that many resources in the kitchen. I recommend only bringing elastic pants. ;)
The rental agency is fantastic to work with because they answer their phones and they're very responsive. Kudos to their level of customer service.
The neighbors don't like noise and there may be some noise monitors because we got a complaint and the neighboring houses were empty. The volume was not excessive
but we turned it off anyway. And, we had a lovely time and we will stay again. Book club 2025 next Spring!

We were a party of seven - close friends who like to be together in Bodega Bay every other year or so. This home was perfect for just enjoying being together, watching sunrises and sunsets together, cooking together, eating together, playing games, listening to music, even watching the 49er game! We loved it all and would love to stay again. Thanks also to Bodega Bay Escapes for finding my husband's car keys that he left there and mailing them to us!!! You guys rock!

A golf getaway to celebrate Davy's Birthday! Thank you to the amazing management team. The home was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything you need to create a wonderful meal along with the dishes to serve the meal on. The beds were all comfortable and the views are breathtaking! We are a group of 8/4 couples that love heading to Bodega Bay to golf, relax, and enjoy our time with wonderful friends. This home was the perfect spot to share a million laughs, great food, and many adult beverages with our golf crew.

We have been doing this trip for 20 years as of this year. Many of those years have been at the Oyster Catcher. We were pleased to find a fairly new little sitting area out front. It was a nice addition as our only complaint about this home was there is limited outdoor space to gather. The home is always clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything one would need. Out of 20 years ..... most comfortable home we have stayed at. Bodega Bay Escapes is the BEST EVER!!!!

Had a wonderful stay here and the staff at Bodega Bay Escapes were super helpful in every way! So much nicer to deal with than other agencies! Extremele professional, responsive, and helpful!

We planned a Christmas getaway with our kids and grandkids. The house was great! Only one thing that comes to mind - the pots and pans are old and have scratched non-stick surfaces. I would bring my own next time.

We had such an amazing time at what we call "The Label House". Everything is labeled, which is funny but also very helpful. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you'll need for cooking including all the appliances you can think of. The View is breathtaking. 180 degree view of Bodega Bay. We had the most incredible weather to see it also! The rooms are spaced well apart so it's not too loud with 10 ladies staying there. Highly recommend.

We have stayed in many different homes in this neighborhood in Bodega and this was by far the most amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable, the layout was fabulous for spreading out, the view was spectacular and everything worked as we would have wanted it to. We enjoyed celebrating my 50th birthday here and will have a hard time staying anywhere else over there if we have to in the future. This has set a new standard for excellence at the coast, for us. Thank you for sharing this lovely home.

We have stayed at this home now for 4 years. We look forward to staying here every year. Beautiful home with so many amenities and a fantastic ocean view! The kitchen is stocked with everything anyone would need. The X-finity subscription that they have allowed us to watch sports, movies, and many TV shows. The location of this home is very close to walking trails, the golf course, Doran beach, restaurants, stores and gift shops. A must stay vacation home! We can't wait until next year!

We are a group of 7 women who have had a girls' weekend in Bodega for the last 16 years. We have rented many houses, but we all agreed that Oyster Catcher was one of the best. The star feature of the house is the kitchen. We all love to cook and usually haul some kitchen item with us, as so many houses are not very well equipped. That was not the case in this kitchen. It had almost everything you could want and more! It was very well organized as well. The only suggestion to be made would be to have more than one cutting board that can be washed in the dishwasher.
The living room was very comfortable, with a giant sectional, that fit all of us. There were two additional chairs aimed toward the beautiful view.
The beds were comfortable, and there were enough beds to use. The only drawback was only having one bathroom downstairs for 4 women.
One point we loved was that we were able to unload our stuff up a level, rather than carry everything up a bunch of stairs to a second story kitchen.
All in all it was a great experience in this beautiful Bodega Bay home!!

Great stay

Everything in the house was in excellent condition.

This is our third time staying at this lovely home! The views are amazing! We love watching all of the wildlife. The kitchen is supplied with everything you could possibly need. There are plenty of things to do from hiking, golfing, or spending many a day at the many beaches and they are all very close by. There is a wonderful store called Diekmann's if you run out of anything. They have everything, even a deli, a great variety of fresh produce, fresh hot pizza you can order and much more! Plenty of wonderful restaurants and shops nearby too! Or if you want to just stay in, relax and watch a sports game or movie on TV, there is a very large comfy couch to do that. We can't wait to go back again next year!

Following a successful chemo update and after the extensive Covid lockdown we all experienced, running out to the ocean for a calming 5 night experience was everything we needed.
Working with BB Escapes is also a great experience. They are very professional, very helpful and really take the customer's needs as job one.
Oyster Catcher is one of the best homes we have stayed at out at Bodega Harbor. And we have rented more than a dozen over a number of years.
The home is everything and more than what is represented. Easily the best outfitted and equipped home. It is also architectural satisfying and the views are amazing.

This is our second time at this wonderful home. We were grandparents with our two daughter and their 4. children. Each of us had a separate area and could retreat whenever we felt like it! The home is very, very well equipped. Not all TVs are "smart Tvs" But the main living room has a smart TV.The home was well serviced before our arrival and also sanitized. We would return to this home which has beautiful views. Beach access is a bit tricky.

We love staying at this beautiful, cozy home and highly recommend it! This is our family's second time staying here and we will be coming again next year! Bodega Bay is a quaint town with so much to offer. There are so many activities close by and something for everyone. Golfing, hiking, whale watching and excellent beaches (Doran Beach being one of them). Beachcombing, kite flying as well as beaches with great tide pools) or just relaxing enjoying a picnic and the ocean air!
If you like to fish, we took Miss Vic's Sportfishing charter and had an excellent time with Captain Mike. We caught a myriad of fish, salmon, rockfish and Ling cod. It was a wonderful experience.
When we were not out and about, we enjoyed all of the amenities this house has to offer! We love to cook and thoroughly enjoyed cooking in this kitchen. Downtime included watching TV/movies on their comfortable sofa or just enjoying the view. The view is stunning and very serene not to mention, the sunsets are gorgeous. Lots of nature to enjoy as well (deer, rabbits, Quail and more!)
There are many wonderful restaurants to enjoy! Also, if you like shopping, The Tides Gift Shop has a wonderful variety of items.

Well appointed, clean, pretty vacation rental with a stunning view! The kitchen will not disappoint, a professional chef would be pleased. Loved listening to the waves and smelling the fresh sea air. Guests enjoyed the vacation rental with my family and the layout of the home gave everyone their privacy.

I can’t thank you enough it was a wonderful time my wife’s 60th birthday I highly recommend your company everything went smoothly from front to back thank you so much. The only problem I had was the barbecue I think the facility needs a new one other than that I give the home and your company and A.

Other than having to cut our stay short due to fire evacuation, was a good time.

Been staying here for many years. Sad to see the house being built across the street. The view is still wonderful but not what we are used to. Bummer!

Excellent location with beautiful ocean views from much of the house. Roomy bedrooms, comfy beds, plenty of towels and extra linens. The kicthen was very well equipped with just about every cooking utensil and appliance you can think of (we brought some of our own, not knowing what would be there, which turned out to be unnecessary). Large living area with a big, comfy u-shaped section and a big dining room table that seats 10. On the humorous side, there were laminated signs and labels on just about every wall, drawer & cabinet -- with rules, instructions and notifications -- most of which stated the obvious. Perhaps the owner got a good deal on a Dymo label maker or laminating machine :). Overall, this is a great house and one we'd definitely consider coming to again.

This is a beautiful home that has spectacular ocean views. We just loved sitting every morning with a cup of coffee and looking out at the ocean and other landscapes. Saw lots of wild life while we were there. The kitchen is well stocked, you don't need to bring anything but your food! Bedrooms are wonderful and cozy. Definitely a 5 star experience. Went to the beach a couple of days and even saw some whales. Did beachcombing and enjoyed the tidepools. Tried crab potting and a seal got our bait! LOL! Our sons played golf and thoroughly enjoyed the course. Found a great pizza place as well as wonderful restaurants. Had a fabulous week at the Oyster Catcher! Was very relaxing! We are returning again next year!

Oyster Catcher was a magnificent residence within which to house our entire family including our two sons, their wives and our three granddaughters (ages 6, 5, and 2). With spectacular views of Bodega Bay and the Pacific and near access to a lightly used beach (steep path), we enjoyed a week of family fun filled with active days and restful evenings. The accommodations were more than adequate: a well stocked kitchen with cookware, appliances, serving dishes and vessels; bathrooms with towel, wash cloths and sunders; in short everything you need to make your home away from home. My wife and I were well pleased as we celebrated our 50th anniversary. You can’t miss if you choose Oyster Catcher for your next vacation.

Spent our Christmas here and we loved to see the Christmas decorations when we walked in - a nice touch! This was a great experience and the house had everything we needed. The view of the bay was fantastic. This was a perfect house for our holiday getaway!

House was nice and staff was great. There are a few maintenance issues that need to be immediately addressed..... The raidiant floor heaters don’t work worth a **** ( guests were constantly complaining even with space heaters) and the master bath jacuzzi tub doesn’t have hot water (a big no no for the price of the rental)! Other then those problems the House is good. But a heater that doesn’t work in winter is a great way to upset family and friends. No on liked my “put on a sweater” response. And the wifey went bananas over her jacuzzi tub that didn’t work. I just roll with the punches. House was beautiful staff was great and sent a tech out right away. Although the tub was never fixed it did show the staff did what they could on short notice. The owner needs to shell out some money to have new water lines ran to the tub and a radiant floor specialist come take a look!

Loved the home Oyster Catcher but did not have any heat except for space heaters provided by the property rental co.

Great weekend at the Beach

My family and friends and I have stayed at this house many times; my sister has booked it in her name many times also (Karen Kehr Goodwin). We love the view and the spaciousness. The last two times I have rented this home (October and now), the downstairs bedroom ceiling has leaked. This time it leaked right over the bed and saturated the one end side. Also, the coffee grinder was broken. Other than those two things it was great as usual. The management company was responsive to our needs. Thank you.

We rented this place for a family reunion. It couldn't have been more perfect. Location is great, beds comfortable, good space for getting family together, beautiful ocean view...would recommend!

The location of the Oyster Catcher home was fantastic. I have stayed at other homes at Bodega Bay and this is one of the best. The views alone make for a great trip. It is the only place in Sonoma County where you can see the sunrise and the sunset out of the same window! Rooms were large and clean. The only mishap is the amount of time it takes to warm up the house. We arrived during the winter, turned on the heat. It is radiant heat, so took over 24 hours to heat the whole house up. Not much of a patio area either.

Home and location were wonderful!

This home was perfect for our extended family.
Plenty of room and privacy for all.
Well stocked. Clean and all the rules spelled out to a T. Driveway a little difficult to navigate and neighbors frowned on our street parking, but we had 5 cars and they did not all fit in the garage and driveway. 8 people, 5 cars.

The property was just as described; beautiful views, fun things to do since it was centrally located and very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked for those that prefer to cook while traveling. House was beautiful and comfortable inside and out. Would have liked to have known there was no AC as the house got hot during the day. Most windows did not have screens on them so we couldn't leave them open. Beds were too soft and pillows were terrible. Master bath smelled musty. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy patios without walking all the way around the house or through someone's bedroom so because of this, we didn't sit outside at all. Guests should have access to the garage code for convenience. Outside of these minor details, the family had great fun and would consider this house if we ever vacation in the area again.

As usual, we thoroughly enjoy the Oyster Catcher. The Bodega Bay Escapes staff are the most easy going, friendly people.
Our only complaint is the master bathroom shower is in need of attention. The tiles and flooring are worn and quite molded/mildewed. Also seemed the master bed upstairs is pretty worn...
Otherwise, it's just a gorgeous home with the most wonderful view whether watching a storm blow in or clear blue skies. Great beach access nearby!

My, was this vacation home the best yet. Our family of 5 stayed here to spoil our mom, and my goodness it was spectacular. The kitchen had every gagdet imaginable while the view in the living room was breathtaking. Usually every rental has it's downfalls, but not oyster catcher! Best rental ever!! Coming back very soon! :)

We have stayed at Bodega Bay for the last five years and this house is the best yet. The house was very well maintained. The view was amazing, the kitchen was top of the line, and the linens were perfect. And, it was really nice to be able to park off of the street and even in a garage. We hope we will be able to stay here again.

We had a wonderful time. The house was exceptionally well furnished. My adult kids enjoyed the puzzles and I found the kitchen was complete. We have decided next time we will try to stay for a week. We are planning another trip to Bodega Bay as we enjoyed the stay so much. The house was well maintained. We found some outside light bulbs burned out and rental agent had someone replace them the next day. I felt they were most helpful and wanted things to be well cared for too

Perfect home for our annual four girl cousin retreat. Wonderful location and views. Each of us being cooks, we enjoyed the well appointed kitchen. We also appreciated being able to park cars in the garage, and use the laundry room. This home was so perfect for us, we already reserved it for next year!

This propert will be "a hard act to follow", planning on a return next year... Not sure we'll be able to come close!!! The house itself was exquisitely appointed, layout, kitchen, dishes , spices, furnishings were beautiful without being over the "top", very welcoming, comfortable... The view... Without being directly over the ocean/beach, was unsurpassed!!! The staff was very friendly, helpful and responsive... Thanks Kendra... We have stayed in places where there are not enough cooking utensils or pots/pans. Only suggestions for improvement are a new BBQ as the current one was unusable (and we've been told a new one has been ordered), and unusable broken sofa bed downstairs. Hopefully that too will be fixed. We would return.

Great place for a family to gather with a big sitting living room for a large family and an amazing fire place. If you love to cook, this is your place. Truly have everything you need to make a gourmet meal for your guests.

The home is beautiful and the location is great. It was in good overall condition. The only complaint was that the Master Bedroom toilet was broken and we didn't find out until the morning of our arrival. We were offered a late checkout on Sunday (which we didn't need nor did we use it).

Very nice home. Well stocked kitchen and nicely updated. Issues were 1)seemed too hot all the time and we couldn't get it to cool off 2)there was garbage in the garage left by the last tenants that was not removed and smelled 3) there was not provision for lighting the wood in the fireplace. The property manager, when called, said that it is up to the Owner to supply, but, did drop off fire starters. This didn't make sesnse to us. Why advertise a fireplace if you can't use it.

We loved Oyster Catcher. It has more amenities than any of the other homes we've stayed at in Bodega, and we've been going for 20 years. They thought of everything that would make our stay perfect, right up to the softie blankets in a basket to cuddle up with. Beautiful location! The labels on everything gave us many laughs as well.

The Oyster Catcher is a very clean, well-maintained, contemporary home. We especially liked the amazing views from almost every room. The large, open living room/kitchen area made it a comfortable place for all of us to relax, socialize, and enjoy the spectacular views. We'll definitely rent this home again in the future!

We all had an amazing time!

We were in Sonoma for the wedding of our niece from Alabama. The house was perfect for our group of three couples as each had a separate bath. The kitchen was very well equipped.the house was spotless and comfortable. Plus it is centered between the road to Freestone and the coastal road to Jennner both gorgeous drives with charming towns and good places to eat.

Wonderful home for big gatherings. Everyone had a wonderful time from the Seniors to the little ones. Will be back next year and hope this home is available.

House met all of our needs. Weather was cool and overcast but not unpleasant. Beautiful time to see this part of the California coast.

The place was nice but for family reunion of 19 people during the day was not big enough.

The house was beaytiful!! Close to the clubhouse and also beach acces with a path way to the beach. the house was very clean and did have all items needed for a comfotable stay. the management company was very nice and provided easy instruction to the home and some additional intructins to make things a little easier.

The home was well laid out for our family vacation. Everyone had plenty of space to all be together, be alone, nap, or BBQ outside. The views are spectacular. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I was looking for an ideal location for a surprise 60th birthday party for my partner. Oyster Catcher turned out to have been absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. The 4 bedrooms are all spacious and situated for privacy, and the furnishings and linens appear to be recently updated. The common living area has a huge u-shape sofa overlooking the ocean, and it was the perfect setting for relaxing, playing games, social gathering. Supplies and utensils were plentiful - we didn't lack for anything.

The only areas for upgrade would be that when we first arrived the home had a strong odor of cleaning fluid from having been recently cleaned, and the lights were so high tech that they were difficult to figure out how to operate! Other than that - this home exceed my expectations for a rental home and I could see us returning to it.

Each February, our book club journeys up to Bodega Bay for our annual retreat. Its a time for us to discuss our books, celebrate our friendship and enjoy the ocean. This year we had 100% attendance and needed a larger space that could handle 9 demanding women. Our previous place was wonderful but we just grew out of it....

After much research, we agreed on the Oyster Catcher and it exceeded our expectations! As each of us arrived and toured the home we were all amazed at the view, beauty and how there was no stoned unturned and detailed left out for this home. The layout of the house is so well done, there were times when we had to do a head count to see where everyone was...We enjoyed 4-days and 3-nights of pure fun and relaxation. Without question, this is our new book club retreat home. Bodega Bay Escapes was very professional and top notch. We cannot wait until February 2015.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend getaway with all our children and grandchildren to celebrate a family birthday. The home at Oyster Catcher exceeded our expectations. It provided us with enough room for all of us to enjoy social time together, yet also accommodated separate areas for the little ones to sleep uninterrupted. The ocean views were spectacular! The home was extremely well stocked with everything we could imagine to need. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Our son was married in Sebastopol, and we hosted family and out-of-country guests (9) for 4 nights. It was important for us to have plenty of bathrooms/showers/hair dryers, etc. for everyone to get ready for our son's Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding. The lay-out was perfect for that many people and made getting ready to go anywhere very easy. The women especially liked the magnifying mirrors in each bathroom. For as many windows and lights, for some reason is seemed hard to get the right lighting for putting on make-up (some of the light bulbs were also out) but the beds were incredibly comfortable, the view spectacular, and the sitting areas comfy and accommodating. We loved the close access to the beach as well. I would say that the only complaint we had, was that a few of the kitchen items we either broken or not in the best working condition. Having said that, it did not deter us in the least, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We rented the Oyster Catcher for a birthday weekend. Eleven women ascended on the property and were all very impressed. The window filled property offers great views from most rooms and is nicely furnished. Kitchen is well appointed with all the appliances you will need and dishes as well. You might want to bring some sharp knives!
It's a short walk down the cliff to the beach for an afternoon stroll. Large hot tub for the evening. Comfy couch for hanging out and lots of sleeping areas for a large group.
I do wish that there had been a retaining wall of sorts for the BBQ because it won't stay lit in the wind and it's usually windy in the evenings in this area!
The queen sized sleeper that the home's description contains is broken so if you are considering it as part of your sleeping space; think again. I do think they should replace this as it could prove very dangerous to someone!
Overall, this is a wonderful get-away house for a group of people! We loved it!

We had a wonderful stay in the Oyster Catcher over the 4th of July week. The house is in a great location with access to a quiet beach below the house and easy access to relaxing Doran Beach from the clubhouse. The Oyster Catcher was comfortable for our family vacation at dinner-time with its large dining room and table as well as providing quiet spots to enjoy a good novel or share the beach experience with email pals. The kitchen was well-equiped and a gathering place as meals were prepared AND had a great ocean view from the sink at cleanup time. Three great bathrooms helped to get the family out the door early in the day to visit wonderful Sonoma wineries within a 30-minute drive from the front door. The bedrooms provided a wonderful sanctuary at bedtime with a home design providing separation and space. Throw in the gas BBQ and the outdoor spa and the property had everything we need for a great vacation. BTW, the July 4th fireworks over Bodega Bay were a real bonus.

We love this house. There are 8 or us and this is our 29th year of coming from the foothills to the ocean. our 7th year at Bodega Bay and our 3rd year at this house. Had a great time as always except for the few extra pounds I found while there. Thanks Nancy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oyster Catcher and would stay here again given the opportunity. We have been coming to Bodega Bay every summer with our adult children and this home is one if our favorites. Very relaxing, and close to a variety of beaches. Enjoyed the hot tub and indoor garden tub. The kitchen was equipped for our needs and we prepared excellent meals! Thanks bodega Bay Escapes for this wonderfully memorable experience.

We've rented many homes in Bodega Harbour and Oyster Catcher was by far the nicest! We had 9 ladies in from all over the country to celebrate our friends upcoming wedding. The home had everything we were looking for and then some...thinking of another reason to escape there again soon.

Beautiful views, great location in regards to beach access and a fully stocked kitchen with all the amenities. Our new favorite home in Bodega Harbour!
