Ocean Atrium

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Atrium. The views are spectacular and the house is very comfortable. Unfortunately, there were no extra linens for the fold out couches, so those that had to sleep there had to make due with blankets. The house sleeps 8 comfortably, but with 10 people, a couple get short changed

We had a wonderful time and were very impressed with the house. The view was spectacular and the house was large enough to accommodate our group, with room to go to different areas to get some space. My three year old grandson loved the 'toys' and the 'Library'. A couple of things would have made it nicer: Provide hotel hand soaps, body wash and shampoos in each bathroom. Only the kitchen sink and one of the 4 bathrooms had hand soaps. none had shampoo or body wash. for the cost of the stay, this amenity would have made it more comfortable at very little cost to the owner. Also, there were just enough towels for one shower each even though we stayed three nights, and no washing machine soap to wash towels. Either provide more towels, or provide a few washing machine soaps to launder the towels. And finally, this is a problem I encounter often at VRBO's, the Dishes (particularly cooking utensils and pots and pans) Need to be checked for cleanliness. often there is an over abundance of cookware, and most of it needs to be washed before use. It would be better to provide less, replace things when they are old and cruddy (moldy cuttingboards) and make sure everything is clean and sanitized each time the housecleaners come, even if it means running the dishwaser again.

This is the second time we've stayed at the wonderful Atrium! I just wanted to share a couple of maintenance items that I think are important. The front left burner on the stove isn't working. It clicks but won't light and sometimes clicks when another burner is turned on. The kitchen is well equipped with fire extinguishers but doesn't appear to have a working smoke alarm. The handle on one of the doors to the Japanese style bedroom almost falls off when in use and the doors are very sticky to open and close. The hot tub cover had a brown icky residue on the inside.We think t is the best house in Bodega Harbour and we restocked the ping pong paddles. A great ping pong table and so many extra conveniences in the house...beach towels and chairs and the best sunset views and beach access options. And so nice that they allow our happy pup to share in the fun! Happy Holidays!

Stayed at the ocean atrium for a bachelorette weekend and this house was more than we hoped for. The view is breathtaking and outdoor space is perfect for a range of activities be it an outdoor meal for a group, hanging by the firepit or soaking in the hot tub (all of which we did). We also ate at Drakes, walked a casual trail out to the beach, hit up a surf shop and grabbed snacks at a local market, all of which were a 5 minute drive or less from the house. The property management company offers excellent customer service as we had forgotten an expensive speaker at house and someone went to pick it up and held it at the office until I could retrieve it. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We love Ocean Atrium and have stayed several times at this house. It does need a little TLC. The slider to the side deck is very hard to open and close, as is the door to the main bathroom. Ice maker does not work and there are no trays for ice cubes. There were a lot of wasps so there may be a nest somewhere. Other than that it is great. We love it here and love working with all of you at bodega bay escapes!

Perfect trip. Perfect home for a larger family gathering. The only improvement would be the blind 4 inch step going into the center courtyard is a real hazard, even after you know it is already there.

Ocean atrium is a very nice home with an amazing view. Great family home, with a lot of books, puzzles, games and a ping pong table, and a short walk to the beach!

This was our second stay at this beautiful house. We love the design and the space. It's the perfect location for relaxation and enjoying the amazing views. The hot tub, the ping pong table, and the fire pit are a plus. A quick 5-minute walk down the trail and you're at the beach. The only thing I would recommend is to replace some of the pans and baking sheets in the kitchen and add a pancake pan. Overall, we love this house and highly recommend it!

This home is in a wonderful location. The furniture could be updated and the linens should all be replaced, including kitchen towels.

This is the second time we rented thenOcean Atrium house. It perfectly fits the space needs for our 3 generation family. It was clean and fairly well maintained. We love the big kitchen,the comfortable beds, the incredible views and the quarter mile walk to Doran Beach. I would definitely recommend this house!

Our 7 person family had a wonderful time in this home with unobstructed ocean views, including views of Bodega Head and Point Reyes. This was among the best homes for a family reunion that we have rented annually for 30 years!

The design and general ambiance of this house make it a wonderful place for family or friends to gather. Lots of space and privacy, stunning views of the bay and a kitchen with all you need to cook up feasts. It feels very much like a lived-in home rather than a sterile, for-rent property.

We celebrated our daughter’s 50th birthday in this well equipped home with amazing views! It was very relaxing for all of us. We hope to come back!

Downstairs very cold and bedroom very sparse Upstairs nice, beautiful view of the ocean. Great kitchen supplies and nuce size kitchen table for our family of 8. Loved 4 bathrooms for each bedroom.
Also great games for children and the best library of books on a cold dreary day!

This house was definitely better in person that the pictures. The view is breathtaking and unobstructed and the design is updated and architecturally interesting. The atrium was really a great space to get away from the wind. The kitchen was adequately supplied, pretty standard in the rental dept, but we made do. My only feedback is to have added some more towels as we ran out pretty quickly. There is a W?D in the garage, but I would ahve liked to not have to do a load on the second day of vacation...all in all, a great Bodega rental.

We have rented a variety of properties through Bodega Bay Escapes over the years, and have yet to be disappointed. There were 8 of us staying at various times over 5 nights, and Ocean Atrium was ideal for our large family get-together with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The property has panoramic views of the ocean with no other properties obstructing the gorgeous overlook. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the utensils and condiments you need. The atrium is located in the center of the home and is a comfortable place to sun, have an outdoor meal, and barbecue on the gas grill while being mostly protected from gusty winds. If your family likes board games, there are many to choose from (or bring your own like we did). There is a trail down to the beach (about a 10-minute walk from the house). This trail is a bit steep, so if you tire easily you may wish to take a short drive to another trail slightly northwest of the property which has a more gentle slope to another section of the beach (entrance located near the 8th green of Bodega Harbour Golf Course). Did I say golf course? Bodega Harbour is a challenging and scenic ocean course with stunning views and reasonable public rates for a championship-type links course. This property is a bit more pricey than others in the Bodega Bay Escapes menu, and has a longer minimum stay than others, but if you're seeking and enjoyable and relaxing experience for a family outing, Ocean Atrium won't disappoint!

We are a group of seven women who go to Bodega once a year. We have been doing this for 14 years! We look for a house that can accommodate us all comfortably, plus a kitchen that is well outfitted, because we like to cook. This is the second year we have rented this house, because we liked it so much last year. The bed situation is great. Enough so that only the king bed has to be shared. The kitchen is fairly well furnished, but could use a nice cast iron fry pan. All in all we enjoyed it immensely!

Amazing view, amazing home. However, not sure if due to shut down for quite some time the house wasn't the "cleanest". We stayed last year and it was perfect. The windows, kitchen tile floor and patios need a deep cleaning and the spa was green. HOWEVER, the staff was amazing and immediately took care of the vines growing all over the patio and called the spa company. Kudos to the staff for the prompt reply and taking care of most of the issues. We saw a bobcat, dolphins, and had a racoon visit. And YES we will go back again next year.

We rent houses each year in Bodega Bay for a girls' getaway. There are 7 of us, and this house had comfortable sleeping arrangements for all of us. Ocean Atrium, by far, had the best view of any house we have rented (we have done this for 13 years!). We are lucky enough to see whales swimming and breaching out amongst the fishing boats.
We tend to cook, rather than go out, and found the kitchen to be fairly well-equipped. The only things lacking were some large wide bowls, like pasta bowls. We could have used those for all the meals we prepared. Also, if you plan to do a lot of cooking, bring a sharp knife!
The dining area is large, with a table to seat everyone comfortably. The gathering areas (living room and TV room) had nice furnishings. There is a gas fireplace inside that we used quite a bit, and a gas fire pit in the atrium that was also a nice touch.
We enjoyed the atrium, with the lounge chairs and hot tub. It provided a nice protected place to enjoy the sunshine. even though the weather was somewhat chilly.
All in all we loved it and have already reserved this house again for next year!

This home was even better in person than in the pictures. The description regarding location/layout/amenities was accurate. Ladies at the rental office were great. This home was VERY clean...very well equipped kitchen...gorgeous views. We can't wait to come back!!!!!!

Ocean Atrium was terrific for our family gathering! Each area of the house provides a different view and experience and the wonderful fire pit on the deck is terrific for the evening!

Ocean Atrium was a great surprise. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the open patio area in the center of the house was wonderful. Spectacular view from the open spacious windows. Beautiful house. Only one request, that the barbecues are cleaned and covered each time. There wasn't a barbecue brush to clean the grills and they were rusty from weather. Other than that, amazing.

My group of friends had a wonderful time at Ocean Atrium, our 2nd visit. We particularly like the Atrium to enjoy the deck, as well as the design / layout of the home. Great location and view of the Bay. We'll be back again!

The atrium in this house makes for a great place to enjoy family and friends. It all opens up to the home adding a lot of space. The view is awesome and close to a walking path to the beach. The home is well used , features were non functioning, beds uncomfortable, worn out kitchen appliances, had a little issue with the stove, fireplace, jacuzzi tub. bring an air matresses to sleep on.
We had a unfortunate issue with a dead animal smell in the downstairs area, so gross!! - but Property management looking into a pest company and refunded part of our money. This resulted in a lower rating for us

Ocean Atrium was fantastic! The layout with the internal atrium area was perfect for us with our two small children. The staff at Bodega Bay made this experience seamless.

Enjoyed our stay immensely ! So much so, we booked again same home same time for next year!

This home was the best I have rented in Bodega Bay. Starting with the booking process through our 3 night stay. What is shown on the website doesn't do it justice, there is so much more to enjoy. The kitchen appliances are top of the line and easy to use My only issue would be to have more bath towels available per person when staying 3 nights. Eight cousins had the greatest time in this comfortable and unique home.

Affords the best views of the west! Comfy home with all the amenities. Walk to the beach in minutes.

The house sits in front of the most beautiful view of the ocean. It's a quiet neighborhood in a great location. The house is uniquely designed and well stocked. Would highly recommend!

Ocean, bay, beauty from every room. Having an outdoor, but private interior space was so unique and enjoyed. The location is perhaps the best in that community, with house sitting right on the bluff with unobstructed view.

The place was immaculate with a fully equipped kitchen. Only issue was that ice maker didn't work so would recommend bringing a bag of ice. No big deal.

We plan to return to this extraordinary home on an annual basis. It was pretty close to perfection.

Spent a long weekend here to celebrate our 38th Anniversary. The house has a very unique layout with an atrium in the middle surrounded by hallways lined with windows. Hot tub and giant picnic table in the atrium are protected from the near constant Bodega Bay winds.
Awesome kitchen. Everything you need is here, including a Zojirushi Virtuoso bread machine!! Two sitting areas look out to fantastic views of Bodega Bay, Doran Beach and Bodega Head. One has fireplace, the other a TV. Very short walk to beach.
Ate out every meal. All highly recommended. for dinner: Terrapin Creek in Bodega Bay (Michelin star restaurant); Hazel in Occidental (outstanding); Ramen Gaijin in Sebastopol. Lunch every day at Estero Cafe (sit at the counter at least once).
Would definitely return. Have rented from Bodega Bay Escapes for years. Awesome people to work with.

Great location! House has a perfect layout for 4 couples. The home was well supplied with dishes, pots/pans, spices, etc. Everything was awesome with the exception of not having hot water much of the time. We called the office and they were contacting the owner. Unfortunately it wasn't fixed while we were there but we made do. Yes, I would recommend this home to family and friends.

The people at Bodega Bay Escapes were the best!! We had to evacuate because of the fire in Santa Rosa and they were extremely kind and compassionate and helped us find a wonderful place of refuge. I highly recommend both the house, Ocean Atrium and Bodega Bay Escapes! We'll definitely be back.

What a beautiful location for a great birthday party for 4 couples. The view of the ocean from the living and dining area as well as interior atrium made the house so special - all the interior walls were made of glass that looked onto the atrium. The kitchen was large and well equipped to cook all the meals. The hot tub was clean and hot!

As the house is named it has a nice atrium centered inside the home with a spa and a gas outdoor firepit which we used most nights and enjoyed very much. The home is well suited for kids as there's ample room for them to move around. The actual beds would be my negative input as they aren't very comfortable with the exception of the master bedroom.
