Curly's Cove

We loved the beautiful location of Curly's Cove.
The house was amazing, but the beauty of the private cove was so magical! Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved watching the birds as the sun rose over the hillside. We arrived in the dark and it was raining so we did not see the wood that was stacked under the deck. That was our only complaint that there was no wood by the fireplace inside the house when we arrived.

-Unfortunately the outdoor grill did not function properly during our stay.

It was a beautiful, relaxing time. The deck is the best place to see the ecosystem and ocean life. The home is well equipped.
Birds in the morning when the tides go out. Sea lions in the evenings also on the hunt for food. Geese family’s passing through:0)

Not only is the location serene, the home is a peaceful get away, impeccably designed to focus on the surroundings so one can simply relax. The kitchen truly is "fully-equipped chef’s delight".

Beyond expectations! Original Japanese artwork adorns the walls of this radiant home with panoramic views of the bay. High end touches throughout and impeccable attention to details are evident - luxurious linens, top line appliances, sturdy wi-fi, a heated outdoor bench. Super easy to access restaurants and shopping but you'll still feel like you're secluded in nature. We'll definitely be returning in the future!

This place never disappoints! Even when it is raining - to be able to have the fireplace going and watch and hear nature is fantastic!

It’s our second time to this amazing place, and I do recommend visiting a few different seasons. Bird migrations effect the various types of birds one sees, tides seem so different, and the weather brings a different perspective every day and throughout the day. Such a well-thought-out place with pristine, modern European design and furnishings. In addition to a nice kitchen to prepare food, there are so many great choices in this small town. Crab season is a must as the crabs are same-day catch and the sweetest ever. Total comfort and relaxation, beautiful walks - we couldn’t ask for more than this beautiful place offers.

What a magical spot! Even though the cabin is within shouting distance of other residential buildings, it is built at the bottom of a cliff overlooking the marsh and we felt complete privacy. The cabin itself is spare (in the right way) but very cozy and immaculate. The kitchen is well stocked if you're inclined to make an elaborate meal and the management was extremely helpful and attentive. We walked from the cabin to the beach on the Bird Walk (about 2 miles rountrip) each morning, seeing pelicans, egrets and other shore birds. Hiking is spectacular along the Bodega Bay and Jenner headlands. (Remember to bring your binoculars). We had an elegant dinner at Terrapin Creek (highly recommend) and informal outside lunches at the local seafood establishment. All in all, a wonderful getaway and we will definitely return!

This property was fantastic to take in the natural beauty along with the ease of access to anything we needed. We will definitely go back again!

Best trip and location in recent memory. We really needed a nice, quiet time away from life. This home and its location did not disappoint. Everything we needed was provided for in the home. It is such a lovely location with privacy, yet within walking distance to restaurant, wine tasting and Doran Beach. We hope to be back as soon as our schedule allows. We have such fond memories of this home and experience.

A jewel of a home nestled on it's own little slice of heaven. All of the furnishings and amenities are top notch. Kitchen fully equipped for cooking up your favorite meals. We can't wait to come back!

Everything was so well appointed and taken care of. Stunning lay out. So comfortable and special. Tucked away for total privacy yet 5 minute walk to 2 amazing fish restaurants on the bay and 5 minute drive to town.

We had a wonderful time staying at Curly's Cove. It was a blast to cook in the kitchen while sipping wine and watching the sunset over the bay. I'd highly recommend this spot. It would be a bit small for two couples to share, but perfect for one couple or a family with young kids. The location is great! We went on a number of walks through the bird sanctuary and out to the beach.

One of the rooms had a large number of dead ants near the base boards, but besides that we didn't see many live ones. They must have just done a cleaning and forgot to sweep some of them up.

Curly's Cove was amazing. We never realized what a stress release it could be to relax in a space that was simply breathtakingly beautiful. It is in fact better than the pictures. There was a wonderful bird walk just steps away from the house. And, the must-visit bakery Wild Flour is just a 15-minute drive away. The management company could do a better job updating the manual that accompanies the house as well as following up on finishing touches that define a luxury rental. There is in fact no one that lives underneath the house, no keyless entry, no newspapers provided to start the fire in the chimney, and no hatchet underneath the BBQ to break up kindling as the house manual all purports. A pair of binoculars for bird watching thoughtfully hung from the coat rack but had one of the eye pieces broken off. The house itself though remains incredible and in an ideal location - secluded yet within a stone's throw of the hustle and bustle of small town Bodega Bay. Heads up that there is only a shower, no bath, and the mattresses are on the soft side and not ideal for guests with older backs.

We we're looking for a well designed house to enjoy for a quiet weekend. Curlys Cove was perfect. Great access to hikes and walks. Fun to kite surfing right off the beach.

This is a small, but well designed property. The place is well equipped for preparing meals. There is a wide variety of herbs and spices to season food you bring to prepare. There are plenty of dishes and glassware, a coffeemaker, toaster and several other small appliances, plus a large fridge, a gas cooktop, 2ovens and a microwave. Everything was clean and comfortable.
It is a good place to relax and enjoy the view-lots of shorebirds and the bay or read and converse with cabin mates. A visit to the nearby town of Bodega is nice. You can see the church featured in the film “The Birds” or browse some galleries and antique shops.
There are several good restaurants not far from Curly’s Cove.
There is a beach nearby for those who enjoy walking on a beach. It’s too cold for swimming,
I would like to go there again.

We very much enjoyed this well designed comfortable house. My favorite surprise was the heated bench on the deck.. Incredible bird watching and hiking near by.
