Chartwell Haven

Loved staying here, perfect tidy home, incredible view, and a hot tub. We loved being able to walk to the beach.

As a family from Reno, who are steadily exploring different CA beach locations (maybe 9th spot over the years)......this was our favorite yet. Love the town, beaches, hikes, and the house!!!The property was perfect (my wife’s statement is “favorite vrbo yet”). Great decor, well apportioned (labels etc), comfortable beds!, back house (2 17 yr olds could sleep in), great kitchen, and so close to beach for multiple visits.10 or 10

Love this little house! We first rented it about 35 years ago when it was called The Crowe House. It definitely has improved since then with the updates. Plan on coming back.

We’ve stayed here before. very comfortable for the two of us. Kitchen/living room space are small, but cozy. The back convenience unit looks like it would be comfortable enough. The loft gets a lot of morning sun. The barbecue is small..We’d stay again.

Had a wonderful second visit to this home. Perfect for our family of four. A bit rustic but with all the modern amenities, ideal for a weekend getaway to the coast.

Absolutely beautiful home with all amenities taken care of. Steps to the ocean was a huge factor in this location! Sepepare homes on the property allowed our family to have the space we needed. Would love to go back!

Thank you for providing the wonderful retreat along Salmon Creek! It was extremely relaxing, quiet, and steps away from a fabulous walking beach! The hot tub is marvelous, and the landscaping is immaculate! We certainly plan to return to this lovely hideaway for another bit of rest and relaxation at Bodega Bay!

Absolutely beautiful A-frame cabin steps away from the beach. Had a wonderful weekend with friends there, the house has all of the amenities you’d hope for and it was hard to leave!

Peaceful but FYI there was an odor in the little house with the two beds
I happen to sleep out there one night and it smelled really bad. And the rest of the stay was great except the place needs a dishwasher
it’s very old-fashioned without one. And hard to do dishes on vacation Other than that it was great

Light and airy describes this recently redecorated A-frame style cottage in a quiet residential Salmon Creek neighborhood. A wall of windows bathes the interior with the most beautiful light. Families of deer stroll by in the morning and evenings.
We loved the small kitchen with the sweet Scandinavian cupboard. Ya. Easy to wash up dishes without a dishwasher. Comfy king bed; tiny bathroom with poor lighting (needs some higher watt bulbs!). This cottage is on a big piece of property, with a smaller cottage in back. My son stayed there and was quite comfortable, except for the mildew smell. We opened all the windows and doors but could not get rid of that smell.(Owners, check that out.)
It has great decks in front and back. You can truly see the ocean from the front deck and the living room. So peaceful. TV is upstairs in the loft. We did not watch much TV, but it is inconvenient in my opinion to locate it up fairly steep stairs. We had dinner at the Restaurant at Bodega Lodge, the Fishetarian, Inn at the Tides, and bought fresh fish to cook at the Chartwell Haven. All good places to dine.
We had a relaxing and wonderful stay and reprieve from the heat in Sacramento. So we would come again. Yes.

We had so much fun but it was way too short! We walked to beach and it took less than 5 minutes. The house is clean and accommodating. Price was right for our needs.

My family and I had a great stay in this home by the beach. The house was quirky but cozy and the location can't be beat. The detached "cabin" with the two twin beds was not ideal sleeping arrangements for two young kids, and I wish there was a dishwasher, but other than that the house was great and the 5 minute walk to the large Salmon creek beach made it all worth while. Would definitely recommend this Bodega Bay Escape, just plan your sleeping arrangements accordingly.
