Banyan House

Lovely views from inside the house and the decks nice sitting area. Great spot for a good book and a glass of wine.

This was our third consecutive year staying at Banyan House . The house is clean and well equipped . The ocean view is spectacular..... The birds are so much fun to watch. We will be back again next year.

The home was in Carmet, a very quiet enclave of homes. We enjoyed watching the sunsets over the ocean and especially loved the outdoor areas with natural plantings that attracted birds and insects. The kitchen was well stocked and the furniture and beds were comfortable.

The location was great and the house was beautiful. However I could not get a signal and was not able to watch TV also there was construction going on at the property next door for three out of the four nights I was there and blocked the entire view of the ocean from the house. I was locked out one night and called the after hours her response was I was just there and didn't have a problem getting in after I had been trying to get in for over 20 minutes in the dark. I was able to get in earlier that day without any issues also. She said she would send somebody over to take a look but I never saw anybody come by and nobody followed up. I consistently had trouble with the lock so I stopped to lock in the door when I left so I could ensure I could get back into the house. I don't think that I would book with this company ever again. That was my yearly vacation and all my vacation money put into a property where I was severely disappointed repeatedly.

The house has an amazing backyard just perfect for your dog's enjoyment....also the backyard backs up to a ranch so there is a lot of privacy...the house is close to Hwy 1 but you barely hear the noise from it...the beds were amazing for a rental property...the kitchen was a great lay out...the only sad things was there was only 1 aucepan so cooking was little tricky..all in all one of my favorite house in Bodega Bay!

Our second stay at Banyan House. Excellent location. Quiet. Sitting on the patio gazing at the beautiful view while sipping wine was very restful.

We loved this house and plan to make this an annual trip! The location is perfect and the property provides an ocean view in the front and gorgeous hillside in the back. Exceeded our expectations ❤️. Thank you!

A very relaxing weekend away with our dogs. The house is comfortable, clean and in a great location. Enjoyed sitting outside taking in the amazing views.

This was our second time staying at Banyon House and it was just as great the second time! Very comfy house with a wonderful yard and a magnificent view! Great location, too...right on scenic Highway one and just a few minutes to Bodega Bay, Valley ford, Jenner or Duncan Mills for great restaurants!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely location. The view from our private deck was perfect, and the property was clean and tidy. The only thing that would have made our stay better is if the kitchen had been stocked with a few basic items like coffee, creamer, and sugar. Also there was a bit of a moldy smell at the property and it looked like there may have been some mold on one of the windows in the smaller bedroom.

This sweet cottage looks just like the pictures. Clean and comfy, with nice touches such as the way the towels were folded (like at a hotel), fresh rolls of toilet paper and paper towels still in the wrapper, and cute little bags with soaps and shampoo/conditioner. The TV was a little difficult to figure out, couldn't get local channels, had to use the Firestick to get any programming. If you're not familiar, like me, it was a learning experience. Also had some ants get into a container of baked goods on the counter and had to throw it away, so be aware. Had an issue with the smoke detector going off for no reason a few times the first day, but called the management company and they sent someone out to replace it immediately! Would be nice to have screen doors on the patio sliders so you could leave them open. But these are all minor issues. Overall, very happy with our stay and would rent again. Easy access from Hwy. 1 but very quiet.

Beautiful views and sunsets. The home had everything we needed and wanted along with a "feel good" vibe. Very comfortable & homey & relaxing.

Beautiful home! Used it as a home base to tour Sonoma County.

Beautiful long weekend by the coast with the family - location, neighborhood, home, yard all wonderful! Within an hour of arriving my 8 year old asked if we could come back every summer and I said “I hope so!” We were in desperate need of a relaxing getaway and this place was perfect for it.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Banyan House. So much effort has gone into the house and yard to make it feel so comfy. We adventured across the street to picnic at the ocean and search for shells. We can't wait to book for next year!

Enjoyed our stay in this charming home in Carmet. The sweeping views of the ocean are amazing. The deck and courtyard with wood burning fireplace were inviting. Nicely stocked kitchen with very nice appliances (for those who like to cook). We were very comfortable in this home. Pet friendly, although there’s no fenced area so we kept our pup on a leash for outside visits. Not an issue for us and just wanted to mention for those who might want to know. We will rent this home again if we can.

This house is spectacular. Clean, comfortable and the views are great. Very clean, no clutter. The one and only thing that was missing was instructions for the house. Not everyone is familiar with the Nest thermostat and it took us a while to find the Wi-fi password on the router itself. Also no instructions for the tv either. Typically this stuff is in a binder or something.
Other than that, we will be back!

Several members of our family return to this area where we all grew up to memorialize a family member who left is way to soon. We all had different homes. Banyan house exceeded them all in cleanliness, beauty, necessities, peacefulness, and comfort. I will be renting Banyan house, if possible, whenever I return to Bodega Bay.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and beautiful...even better than the in the photos! The outdoor area was beautiful and welcoming...the hot tub, outdoor fire place, deck chairs, gas grill and landscaping made it a perfect place to sit and enjoy and wonderful view of the ocean. Excellent spot for bird watching and we could even saw whales from the deck! The inside was also super comfy and all the amenities were provided. A quick walk or drive will take you right to the beach, as well. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice ocean getaway! Worth every penny!
