Miwok Escape

This home made for a great few days for my card making friend and myself. This is our fourth year of renting with Bodega Bay Escapes and we were so pleased with this home that we are renting it again for next year. It has everything. The kitchen had every appliance one would ever need. We did have trouble getting the oven up to temp and eventually gave up after several tries. Miwok Escapes offered much space and counters for us to spread out and enjoy crafting. The deck off of the main area upstairs is perfect for respite and one could hear waves breaking. The staff at Bodega Bay Escapes met and responded to our every need. They are super. We look forward to another fun and fabulous time next year at this beautifully maintained home and commend the owners and everyone at Bodega Bay Escapes involved!

Starting in the year of Covid, this was our sixth stay at this delightful dwelling. A superb location within a short walk to beach, it is nestled in the sand dunes, with a plethora of windows to see wonderful scenery and has many skylights to brighten a lovely interior. Well managed and maintained it is our favorite rental on this stretch of the coast, so much so we already booked the Same Time Next Year, and yes we like it better than the Heritage House, our prior favorite.

Our stay in the iWork House was too short but wonderful. We loved the little neighborhood, the house was well appointed and so comfortable. Perfect for the six of us.

Miwok Escape was a wonderful experience in Bodega Bay. Three of us women meet once a year in February to see each other and enjoy eachother's company. The house was very clean and the company Bodega Escapes was very helpful. We used the very relaxing hot tub. It was very rainy all weekend so we were happy to get to use it the first night. The coffee maker did not work, and we did not bring any Keurig pods for the Keurig maker. We wished there were some board games or puzzles, because the rain kept us inside for most of the weekend. We did watch movies on the TV through our streaming services. The bathroom on the bottom floor was okay, we liked the big shower on the top floor better.
Overall, it was a fun weekend.

An immaculate home in a peaceful and beautiful location. If you fancy your privacy and like to be off the beaten path this the place to be. Clearly a home owner who cared about the property. The layout of the home is so cozy as well. The kitchen and living room on the second floor makes the dreamy view and peaceful vibe complete. Bodega Bay Escapes is always great to work with too.

we have stayed here many times and love this house, location is fabulous and the house works for us. this time the light in the closet in the master bedroom did not come on and the sheet kept coming off. otherwise, we loved our stay and will return

House is beautiful, everything you need for short or long stay. Had to make last minute change and bodega escapes was wonderful and made the change we needed. Home is large comfortable and fits a family well. Very quiet area, will come back .

We had such a lovely time. The place had just about everything we needed. Perfect for a weekend getaway with friends or family. From a distance you can even see the ocean! The property was in a private location as well. Clean, organized, instructions clear. We had a great time!

For the most part it was lovely, however, most of the pots and pans were dirty and the non-stick surfaces were no longer non-stick. We had to hand wash most of the dishes and glasses before using them as they had food and or greasy film on them. I pulled a hot pad out of the drawer that was covered in dry crusty food.The rest of the house was clean, it was just the kitchen and dishes that were gross. When we stayed here before we did not have this issue.

we love this house and are always pleased and rested when we return from a stay in salmon creek.

however, this time the internet crashed and they could not be reached by phone; they have since apologized and we do not think this would happen again

Bright with lots of windows! Loved cooking on that super sized stove! Safe neighborhood for strolling down to the beach. Nice hot tub (looked new!) We’ll be back. Thank you!

One silly thing: at 1am, we swore we heard a saxophone that was quiet enough that it sounded like it must be coming from outside. I went outside to investigate, but could only hear the ocean. It turns out the refrigerator plays a soft (non-intrusive) sax at 1am! Fancy!

We love the Miwok house! Lot's of light, open floor plan with several sweet window nooks/seats. Quiet spacious location in the dunes right near the trailhead for a lovely trail to the beach.

The house was spotless , the beds comfortable , this particular community is very quiet and relaxing .Very convenient location , close to area shopping and restaurants , but tucked away from any type of road noise .

Great house, great views, big rooms. Everything was wonderful. We couldn’t figure out how to work the oven... That was the only downside.

We had a fantastic time at Miwok Escape. Kind of isolated off the main road but close to everything. plenty of room to mingle. Comfortable beds and seating area. Enjoyed the hot tub every night while watching the stars. Very clean and comfortable.

A beautiful home at Salmon Creek...interior was very nice. Close to everything! We had one very minor issue with the TV and maintenance was at my door within minutes to fix the issue. Loved our 3 night stay. We will be back!

Exceptional rental in a beautiful location. The house is set up wonderfully for interaction in the open kitchen, dining, living room space. This was one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. The location was perfect, the view was beautiful and the house was spacious and clean. We loved having all of the utensils to cook. The hot tub was wonderful and the beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend staying at this home and the vacation rental company was very easy to work with and helpful with any concerns that we had.

We have stayed at Miwok once before. We like the Salmon Creek area and we like the house.

We had a fabulous time at this rental. The common living area, on the 2nd floor, is filled with light, a huge updated kitchen and living room. The three bedrooms were all large, the bathrooms were good - especially the master bedroom bath. Well decorated, well equipped, the linens on the bed were great, the house was really clean. We loved it.

Milk Escape is aptly named-a wonderful setting to get away from it all. It's spacious, has a great open space plan, and is set up for being "social" . It's also a perfect set up for multi-generational gatherings.

If you plan on cooking big meals this is the perfect huge and very well stocked kitchen!!We bbq, sat in the spa and on the deck watching the sun rise and set each day. We also like the salmon creek area with its own beach!! You can walk ( 5-7 min) or take a short drive to get there and it’s never crowded! We always try to find a place in salmon creek and this place we will definitely return too!!

This is a great rental! I loved the location which was so close to the beach. There was a lot of space in the house along with a great open floor plan. THe ocean views were wonderful. The hot tub was great as well. I'll definitely come back.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The play was clean and generally in good, not excellent, condition. We made a list of things that did not work and gave it to office staff when checking out.

We are so in love with this fun beach house, the proximity to the beach and Salmon Creek neighborhood. Miwok Escape, as the house is called, was perfect for my family. The great room, with an ocean view was our gathering spot. It was large enough to prepare meals,watch TV and do art projects at the table. The bedrooms are very private. The BBQ and hot tub were an added bonus.

Nice place. Many good things. Very spacious, ample wood supply, great kitchen, well kept bedrooms, plenty of windows, large hot tub, clean home, quiet location, close to town, WiFi works, etc. Only a few things of note for guests; all beaches in Salmon Creek do not allow pets, bring your own deck chairs, couches and carpets getting worn, and some lights not working.

As this was our second stay at Miwok we had a wonderful time. Close to everything yet quiet enough to really relax and enjoy the view

PLENTY OF SPACE FOR PARENTS, GRANDKIDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS. WE ENJOYED THE PROXIMITY TO THE BEACH AND TRAIL TO BODEGA COMMUNITY CENTER.

We had a wonderful time walking on the beach. My grandchildren have been to Salmon Creek since they were little; they are now 14, 12 and 9. This is our first stay at Miwok Escape and it was GREAT. Two of us hiked the Pomo Canyon trail and to the top of Red Hill. The spa delighted some and the TV entertained some with a Giants Baseball game. (We have some avid fans in our family.) An unexpected sight: I turned off my reading light and noticed how dark it made the room. I looked at the large window and it was filled with stars.
We cook all of our meals and the kitchen is beautiful and had all the dishes, cooking pots and pans we needed. The home was clean and well maintained. The staff at Bodega Bay Escapes was helpful and friendly on every contact. I would recommend this property.

Our family of eight stayed at the Miwok Escape this week. It was a wonderful place: nice but casual, relaxing and well equipped with everything we needed. The location is exceptional with ready access to the creek and to the ocean. Well maintained hot tub was enjoyed by all.

What an amazing way to relax and enjoy the scenery while participate in an incredibly beautiful wedding in incredibly beautiful Bodega Bay!

We spent three nights here with my girl friends mother and another friend. The living area is very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms are large and the master bath has a walk-in shower with two shower heads - always a favorite with us. Lot's of nice touches in the layout and design. Only downside for us was that while there is essentially nothing between you and the beach you can only see the ocean and not the waves crashing on the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would book this again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at the Miwok Escape, a beautiful three bedroom, two bath home. We loved the layout of the house, two bedrooms and bath downstairs and the living area (open kitchen, living room areas with GREAT light)and master bedroom and bath upstairs. Lots of decks and a hot tub. The house was beautiful, well decorated, cozy and well appointed. The house is located in the dunes and is very private - and fairly close to the ocean - a short walk thru the dunes. All in all, a great house for a get away!!!

Pros:The house was in a serene and relaxing location with a wonderful view of the ocean. The common area was warm and inviting. The couches were big enough for everyone to sit together and the TV channels were good. The house was beautiful and the spa was amazing. It was close to town but not in the hustle and bustle. The bathrooms were gorgeous and the house was beautifully decorated.The price was doable the kitchen was fully stocked so we could cook.

Cons: The door stuck and could only be opened with a key, every time, so we had to continue to open the door for anyone who went outside. The refrigerator was in the garage downstairs, which we didn't know about until the day before. It says it slept seven but only had 5 towels. The outside lights didn't work and the upstairs toilet clogged twice. It was also quite a ways farther to the beach than first expected.

The home has a great layout and huge living space which was perfect for our group. We were celebrating a wedding at schoolhouse beach and the home was the meeting place for everyone. The built in refrigerator was broken so the owner had purchased a temporary replacement which was put in the garage. Out of the 6 of us staying there, only one of us could handle the stairs to fetch from the fridge. No discount was offered. The carpets are really dirty, stained and the walls could use a coat of paint. It served us well though!

The negatives: new TV but no instructions on how to work, no list of cable channels. No CD player, no VCR, TV's in bedrooms play only DVD---no TV reception. Freezer side of refrig hardly working---ice cream a gooie mess.
No light bulbs in bedroom lamps, no kleenix in bathrooms, bring your own bar soap 'cause there is none. Good thing it's not far to the market in town! Beds mediocre, good pillows and sheets,though. Very poor cell phone reception. Spa very loud when on. When off, the shut off electrical box buzzes 24/7, and is annoying for guests in the lower bedroom where that box is mounted on the exterior wall. No easy chairs for reading, no patio furniture, nice Weber gas barbeque needs cleaning badly (lots of grease in lower pan started a fire the first time we used it). I think we'll leave it at that. This place just needs some maintenance and TLC to get it shining again!

My only suggestion is to do something with the hot tub. It runs all night and day and is loud.

Also there was not much room for garbage. Understood the need for keeping it inside with animals. I think there was some left from last renters.

Location was wonderful. Just a short walk to the beach. Great kitchen with all the tools, pots and pans one would need. Great stove too! View was beautiful.

What a great property. We have stayed in nearly 2-dozen different homes between the Bodega Bay golf course and Sereno del Mar, and this is certainly in the top 5. The two couples we brought with us for our annual clam dig had a great time. Our kids chased up and down the stairs for hours and even took a quick dip in the hot tub. The walk to the ocean was the perfect distance and parking was plentiful.
Only thing I would ask for is more silverware as we had to wash things after a meal or two. Otherwise the house was very well stocked and handled our big evening party with no issues.

Our family spent the president's day weekend at Miwok Escape. It is in Salmon Creek, which is our favorite area to stay at Bodega Bay. The property was awesome; we have only good things to say! We used the grill every night, soaked in the hot tub, built cozy fires, played games, and enjoyed the beach every day. The kitchen was well equipped. I loved cooking on the Viking stove; what a treat! We had to check in late which was no problem for the management company; they accommodated us with no complaints. It was a relaxing, fun filled weekend. We will definitely stay here again, soon!!!!
