While weather moved through the area, we were enjoying a peaceful, cozy couple of days in this lovely home. Watching the waves crash on the rocks, sending spray higher than the cliff was thrilling. We slept well, enjoyed the clean, well appointed kitchen. Superseeded bread from Wild Flour Bakery, as well as scones in the morning were a treat. Spud Point clam chowder was also delicious, as usual. Cannot wait to come back.

This was our second visit to this cottage. It is a perfect location above Wright’s Beach. You can hear the surf all night!
Would recommend for a getaway for two.

It's always so enjoyable to visit the coast, and our stay at Fabella is most relaxing and refreshing.

I have stayed there twice in April - once with my sister for a mini getaway and once with my husband to celebrate our 31st anniversary. Both times were amazing - tranquil - relaxing - private and the views cannot be beat either from the inside windows, or from the outside deck. Some days were very windy but there is a nice private front "courtyard" away from the wind for you to enjoy your morning coffee.

We have rented Fabella several times. And have recommended it to friends. It’s in a quiet little hamlet above Wrights Beach. It’s so quite , it’s like you’re the only ones there. Fabella is very well appointed and always in excellent condition. You have a unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. It’s a short walk down to the beach. Would highly recommend for a quiet romantic getaway.

It has been over a year and a half since we had a vacation. Scheduled 6 months ago, little did we know how much we needed 3 nights at Fabella House! So relaxing and peaceful, we spent hours on the deck just watching the waves and sea birds. The bed was super comfortable, seating comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bath was great and all was clean. We had dinner at River’s End and picked up clam chowder at Spud Point. A wonderful time we needed, and appreciated.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect, perfect getaway and the staff at Bodega Bay Escapes are the best. We've been using them for years, and they are by far the most professional rental company anywhere.

The view is captivating and exactly as depicted in the photos. From the deck you have an unobstructed 180+ degree view of this beautiful beach. Sounds of the surf lull you to deep relaxation. This is a great beach for long walks and flying kites.
The cottage is bright and airy with a tasteful beach theme. You can view the ocean from living room and bedroom. The kitchen is well stocked and there is an ample table with banquette for dining in.
The fenced in patio area on the hillside of the cottage has lovely flowering plants and provides another private area for enjoying the sea air.
Fresh chowder, oysters and crab sandwiches are a 10 minute drive into Bodega Bay. There are good restaurants & a fun wine bar also with great food.
The permanent residents of the neighborhood were also delightful. It is very convenient for exploring Jenner & more.
I plan to return and have already recommended this property to friends.

The experience was just what we wanted and the house was perfect. The only thing I would recommend is that when you leave the key hidden you don't lock the front gate as we had to figure out a way to get into the courtyard.

Our 8th year to stay in this lovely cottage/home. There is no way to beat the view and the sunsets from the back deck! The home itself has all one needs for comfort and relaxation. It's decorated so cute!

Loved the warm charming beach themed cottage and the view of the ocean from every room in the house. Loved that you could hear the roar of the ocean all day and night. Perfect patio to lounge on, have a glass of wine, watch the ocean and people watch the beach. Perfect place to stay.

We have grown to love Bodega Bay and Escapes. We have tried multiple locations and always have an amazing experience. My wife and I really liked this property for a couple get away. But the service makes the real difference

Once more the two of us decompressed from the holidays with a few days at the coast, and once more "our cottage", Fabella, was a delight. Even during the storm a good murder-mystery in front of the stove is relaxing, and the surf stays down on the sand while we can sleep soundly to the crashing of the waves. This is not the "Glam" house, but it meets all your basic human needs. (Remember to bring your slippers).

We had a fabulous time at Fabella. House was adorable and everything was in good working order.

Fabella is a nice place for a couple wanting to relax and enjoy the ocean views while sipping wine, drinking beer, enjoying appetizers, etc. I do not recommend bringing children to this property, there is a drop off from the back patio and a child could fall down the cliff. There is no fencing which is dangerous for children and small animals.

The pictures don't really do this house justice. It's bigger than it looks, and is very comfortable. We're looking forward to going back!

Fabella House was lovely. The cozy gas fireplace provided a wonderful ambience on the one day that was chilly and windy during our stay. The home was clean, comfortable, and provided all that we needed. The comfortable outdoor furniture made the time we spent just watching and listening to waves to be very relaxing. We could even listen to the waves as we went to sleep, which is unusual. The home is far enough away from Highway One that we did not hear any traffic. It was wonderful. Bodega Bay Escapes was a great partner for this rental and it was a bargain. P.S.I do not recommend this as a place to come with small children as the deck is on the edge of a cliff.

We stayed a week and we loved it. The bed is small but the mattress is fairly new. They could use some new pillows. I just bring some from home.
The home has to many decorative items out which make it difficult to maneuver.
Someone needs to organize the pots and pans and dishes.

We made a last minute decision to go to the ocean for the holiday weekend and I’m so happy we did. This little ocean front cottage was perfect, so comfortable and cute. Would definitely love to stay again.

I stayed here with my 12yr old daughter and we had a great time! We were only a 10min or less drive to all of the local things to do.

Once or twice each winter & fall the two of us try to get away from Sacramento for a few days on the coast. We do this primarily for a change of scenery and pace of life (active retiree's in our late -70's), and have been doing this for the last 20+ years. We have stayed at a range of B&B's, resorts, and small rental houses from Trinidad in the North to Cambria in the South. Although we like to be out and active during the days we always take a stack of Agatha Christie's with us on these trips in case of stormy weather.

As we have gained experience we find that we are focusing more-and-more on one critical requirement .... the place MUST have good ocean exposure. We say to each other that we must wake up "with salt in our teeth". With the slider to Fabellas's bedroom cracked open three inches all night we can have that experience each morning because the room fronts directly on the ocean. And what a wake-up view!

This is the second time we have stayed at "Fabella", a small (great room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bath) one-story. We have found that it meets our needs almost perfectly. (the only drawback is the fact that the fine Bodega Bay restaurants are a 15-minutes drive down Highway one, a drive that we do not like to make at night. This forces us to "camp-in" for the evenings....but those supremely fresh seafood-with-wine lunches help make up for that).

Our advice - forget extreme luxury - go for the ocean exposure. It can't get much better than this.

Perfect and just what 2 grandmas needed

It was wonderful! I had never stayed at this house before and it was perfect for one person (or a couple). Good setup and comfortable. Will definitely go there again.

Comfortable and cozy. The new furnishings are a nice touch. Didn’t watch much TV (books, good long walks and cooking were priorities) but the new flat screen is quite an improvement. Love this spot.

We enjoyed perfect weather at this perfect location.

We love Fabella House and it is the only place we stay when in Bodega Bay. The company, Bodega Bay Escapes, are wonderful to work with. Fabella house is well maintained and is up graded often. The only issue I have is that not all of the burners on the stove work. Watching the ocean from the deck, or inside the house, is calming and peaceful.

Very good location and property,second visit and will be back again. Only negative is that the bed needs a new mattress.

The home was perfect for a romantic getaway! The views are stunning, with easy access to surrounding beaches, local restaurants, stores and galleries. The home itself was very cozy, clean and well furnished. The deck views were amazing!

This is the best location - nothing but ocean in front of the house. I am a return visitor, every Fall.

We have stayed in this home before and love it! Its perfect for 2 people and the view couldn't be better. It's a calm, beautiful oasis. And Bodega Escapes makes it so easy!

We had a very peaceful time at the Fabella House. It was private, yet close to the beach. We even saw a dolphin swim by while on the beach. This was our second visit to the house and likely not our last.

Great view of the ocean. Photos look like the house is right on the beach. But the rental company verified that it was on the bluff. We enjoyed watching the local wildlife but binoculars would have been beneficial. We would definitely rent this house again.

We stayed at Fabella for three nights in early May 2017. We have used Bodega Bay Escapes previously for vacation rentals and once again check in was easy and includes a very convenient three ring binder with details about the house, the Bodega Bay area and the keys to the unit.
Fabella is a one bedroom unit ideally suited for 2 people. The views from the seating area are awesome and the deck is very comfortable. Unit was extremely clean.
Recommended restaurants: for dinner, Terrapin Creek (get reservations far in advance) and Gourmet Au Bay; for lunch Spud Point Crab Company and Fisherman's Cove. Both had great clam chowder.
We will return.

2. The hot water heater is SMALL, we could only take one hot shower at a time and then wait an hour or so for the water to get warm again (and we took short showers).
3. The house is very cluttered with beach décor, like on every surface. We actually had to move several nick-nacks out of the way just to use surfaces like the side tables, dresser, and counter.
4. There isn't a washer and dryer
5. There isn't garage access or a driveway, you park in front of the house on the narrow street.
6. There isn't central heat or air, there is a fireplace in the front room that heats the house really well and space heaters in the bedroom. During the day the house got warm without the heater on, we stayed in December.
7. Definitely not kid friendly. The fireplace in the front room gets really hot and there is no fencing around the deck (it's a straight drop off the cliff).
8. There is a small tv with satellite, but the service was spotty at times. There is Wi-Fi and we had no issues with it, it was fast and always available.
9. No cell phone service with AT&T, but there is a house phone. Not a big deal since we could text or email with the Wi-Fi or go into town to get a cell signal.
So why book this house?
1. THE VIEW, it is amazing
2. The short walk down to the beach, it really only takes 5 minutes.
If you want a cozy, simple house right on the ocean where you can walk to the beach easily and hear the ocean all day & night...this is the house for you.

Thought the pictures of this place were too good to be true, and it was even better! Clean and beautiful. Couldn't get enough of the beach. Best place for my bf to propose to me! Such a memorable trip! Would definitely recommend this business and house!

Absolutely wonderful

Cute little house on Cliff Drive overlooking Wright's Beach. It has everything you need on vacation. The resident Hummingbirds were a bonus. Quick walk down to the beach. This home is quite affordable. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves is priceless. Easy pick up and drop off of keys.

My husband I stayed for three night at this wonderful cottage. The view was wonderful and hearing the ocean and watching it from the back deck was a real treat. I have stayed at many homes in Bodega Bay but this one by far was my favorite. A perfect place to stay. It is perfect for two people. I can't wait to stay again.

Perfect !! Great views, house newly remodeled super clean. Great beach right out back, you had to walk 1/4 mile to get to a path down but very easy.
Only 1 negative... I am 6'2" and bed was too small for me, Other than that WONDERFUL !!!!

We stayed at Fabella house in late April-early May. The weather fabulous!
Of all the houses we have rented in Bodega Bay this is by far our favorite. We will come back! We found the house in very good condition. Everything was clean and in order. The bed was new and so comfortable, with the ocean waves crashing onto rocks gave for a most restfull nite. The coolness of evening was chased away by small gas fireplace in working order(be sure to follow directions). The staff is amazing, very courteous and patient and helpful. We couldn't have been more pleased. However there are no stairs to the beach. I guess they were torn down for safety reasons. Must walk about mile to path that zig zagged down steep cliff. I couldn't make because of steep conditions and length. We drove a short distance to Wright's beach and were able to have beach access. Dog friendly which made our dog very happy. The Vistas were amazing! I can't say enough good things about our stay. Thank you.

It's all about the view here and it is awesome!!! I unfortunately was sick during our stay but the sounds and sight of the Pacific was healing. Located near a great beach, I hope next time I'll be able to walk it, but sitting on the back deck was okay, nevertheless. The home is very comfortable for two. The kitchen seems to be well stocked. Again, maybe next time I'll have enough pep in my step to use it. Bodega Bay Escapes, as always; the staff is awesome too! Thank you homeowners and BBE!

Beautiful home to escape your everyday life

Perfect getaway place for a couple to share time together listening to the ocean waves & enjoying the clear view. Beach walk not far at all. House is decorated cute, well organized & clean. Stormy weekend but that didn't matter, enjoyed time inside with such great views. Had trouble with the gas fireplace, rather tricky even with provided instructions. However would return to rent again!
